What is SkillsFuture?
SkillsFuture is the Singapore government’s initiative to prepare Singaporeans for every stage of their career. SkillsFuture strengthens individual ownership of skills development and lifelong learning.
There are two SkillsFuture initiatives available for learners: SkillsFuture Credit and SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy.
SkillsFuture Credit is course funding from the government available to Singaporeans 25 years old and above. With effect from January 1, 2016, Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of $500 dollars to use for work-related courses. The government will be providing periodic top-ups to your credit.
SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy has been in effect since October 1, 2015. Singaporean Citizens aged 40 and above enjoy enhanced subsidies of up to 90% of course fees for WDA-supported certifiable courses.
