  • 2. Pre-Enrolment Requirements for Course Adaptation

    The criteria for course enrolment is underpinned by the assumption that students have a basic proficiency in the English language, in areas of speaking, writing and listening comprehension.

     

    Course trainers and support administrators will be able to provide limited assistance to the students’ understanding of modules as well as processes. Their support may be conducted in either of the following ways at the respective capacity of the course trainers.

     

    • Brief one-to-one sessions to address questions after scheduled training hours
    • Sharing of additional learning resources to enhance learners’ comprehension
    • Sharing of career opportunities to encourage learners’ active involvement outside of planned programme pathways

    Career Exploration Programme

    A one year course which commences with a 8-day training to equip students with skills which are relevant for general employment. The post-training activities involve group visits to hiring organisations on a weekly basis with the objective of facilitating work placements.

    The payment terms and conditions apply to students who provide for any payment made to AGB Education Pte Ltd (AGB). By authorising a payment to the aforementioned company, it would be treated as an act of acceptance to the fees and refund policy as listed below.

    • The payment details supplied at the time of course application is processed by the payment gateway of the service provider and not by AGB. It is the sole responsibility of the students to ensure that the information entered in the relevant fields are correct. It is recommended that students should retain a copy of the transaction for record keeping purposes, which may assist in resolution of any disputes which may arise.
    • Students acknowledge, agree, understand and confirm that his/ her personal data including without limitation details relating to payment transactions transmitted wirelessly or via the internet may be susceptible to misuse, hacking, theft and/ or fraud which AGB has no control over such matters.
    • AGB and/or respective Payment Service Providers shall not be liable for any inaccuracy, error or delay in, or omission of (a) any data, information or message, or (b) the transmission or delivery of any such data, information or message; or (c) any loss or damage arising from or occasioned by any such inaccuracy, error, delay or omission, non-performance or interruption in any such data, information or message.
    • Under no circumstances shall AGB, its employees, directors, and its third party agents involved in processing, delivering or managing the Services, be liable for any consequential damages, or any damages arising out of or in any way connected with the provision of any payment services or resulting from unauthorised access or alteration of data transmissions or arising from suspension or termination of the Service.
    • The student agrees that AGB or any of its employees will not be held liable for any loss or damages arising from his/her use of, or reliance upon the information contained on the Website, or any failure to comply with these terms where such failure is due to circumstance beyond AGB's reasonable control.
    • The payment details provided by students during payment must be correct and accurate and that he/she shall not use a payment account that is not lawfully owned by him/ her or the use of which is not authorized by the lawful owner thereof. They must also agree and undertake to provide correct and valid payment details.
    • AGB may share personal information of students with its bankers or auditors for clearing necessary fees payments.
    • Fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
    • AGB reserves its rights to amend these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice.

     

     

  • 5. Appeal Procedure

    In the event that a student is marked as not yet competent, he/she may request an appeal for the assessment results.

     

    A fee of $50 is required for the appeal process, which is carried out by a training manager to look into the overall assessment. In the case where inadequacy is found, an assessment retake may be granted for the student.

  • 6. Career Advisory and Placement Support

    All courses managed by AGB has a broader objective of improving employability for its students. Apart from the Career Exploration Programme which has a component of direct facilitation to employers, AGB's lifestyle courses namely Whisk Baking Studio, Junen and Future Ready Life are designed to equip students with beginner skill sets to pursue freelance careers.

     

    Career Exploration Programme

    During the course of the Career Exploration Programme, students will have one session with an Associate Career Advisor (ACA). This is a one-to-one personalised consultation where students will be uncovering individual career barriers, and be coached on ways to overcome them. The ACA will also share insights on full-time, part-time and freelancejob opportunities through Career Exploration Journeys.

     

    Lifestyle Courses (Whisk Baking Studio, Junen, Future Ready Life)

    While they are taught only at the foundational level, students are encouraged to further or apply their skill sets professionally through freelance careers. During these courses, applications and/or software are also introduced to show students where and how they can contribute their newly learnt skills.
